1.Operator identification
The website voltgo.pt and the temporary power bank rental service provided under the VoltGo brand are operated by Paladares Musicais, Unipessoal Lda, legal entity no. 519134834, with registered office at Rua Albano Martins Coelho Lima N.º 607, 4835-302 Guimarães, Portugal.
For contact, customer support, complaints or issues related to the service, the user must use the official contacts published on the website voltgo.pt. As recommended contacts, it is suggested to use info@voltgo.pt for general support and for data protection.
2.Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions
By accessing the website, creating an account, starting a rental request, scanning a QR code, making payment, picking up a power bank or using any functionality associated with VoltGo, the user declares that they have read, understood and accept these Terms and Conditions.
If the user does not agree with these Terms and Conditions, they should not use the website or start renting VoltGo equipment.
Use of the service may depend on the express acceptance of these Terms and Conditions before confirmation of the rental, payment or release of the equipment.
3.Description of the VoltGo service
VoltGo provides a temporary rental service for portable power banks intended to charge compatible electronic devices, such as mobile phones, headphones or other low-power equipment, under the terms and technical limits indicated on each power bank.
The service may be provided through physical stations, QR codes, website, mobile platform, technology provider, customer area, electronic payment system or other means that may be implemented.
The power bank is provided to the user on a temporary rental basis. Ownership of the equipment belongs to VoltGo or to a third party authorized by it, and is not transferred to the user.
4.Conditions for accessing the service
The user must be of legal age and have legal capacity to enter into contracts. Minors may only use the service with the authorization and supervision of their legal representative.
To access the service, the user may need to provide personal data, accept these Terms and Conditions, accept the Privacy Policy, make a payment, deposit or pre-authorization and comply with the instructions shown on the website, at the station, in the QR code, on the payment screen or through another official channel.
VoltGo may refuse or suspend access to the service where there are signs of abusive use, fraud, breach of contract, payment failure, damage caused to equipment, false data, prohibited use or risk to the security of the service.
5.Rental process
Unless otherwise indicated at the time of use, the rental process will generally follow the following steps:
- The user identifies an available VoltGo station or point.
- The user scans the QR code or accesses the indicated digital medium.
- The user checks the price, duration, return rules, deposit, pre-authorization, applicable fees and other relevant conditions before confirming the rental.
- The user accepts the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
- The user makes the payment, deposit, or applicable pre-authorization.
- After confirmation, the power bank is released or made available for use.
- The user must return the power bank to an authorized station or return point, following the service instructions.
- The rental is considered completed only when the return is successfully recorded by the system or confirmed by VoltGo.
If the station does not confirm the return, if the power bank gets stuck, if the station is unavailable, or if any technical failure occurs, the user must immediately contact customer support and keep proof, photos, or screenshots that can demonstrate the incident.
6.Prices, payments, deposits, and charges
The service prices, included usage periods, deposit amounts, pre-authorizations, late fees, amounts for loss, damage, or non-return, and other charges will be shown to the user before rental confirmation or made available in a price list on the website, at the station, in the QR code, or through another official channel.
Unless otherwise stated, prices shown to consumers include VAT at the applicable legal rate.
The service may require immediate payment, pre-authorization, a deposit, or another guarantee mechanism. The user authorizes the charging of amounts due for the rental, additional periods, delay, loss, damage, non-return, abusive use, or other charges duly communicated before contracting.
VoltGo may update prices, promotional conditions, and billing methods. Changes will only apply to future rentals, unless otherwise required by law or a specific campaign.
The final prices, deposits, pre-authorizations, replacement amounts for loss, damage, or non-return, and the available payment methods are shown to the user in the app or in the indicated channel before rental confirmation.
7.Rental duration and power bank return
The rental duration and applicable limits are those indicated at the time of contracting. The user is responsible for returning the power bank within the contracted period or as soon as possible, at an authorized station or point.
The return must follow the instructions provided by VoltGo. Simply placing the power bank physically in an unauthorized station or location may not be enough to complete the rental if the system does not record the return.
The user must check, whenever possible, whether they received confirmation of the return. If there is no confirmation, they must contact customer support immediately.
8.User obligations
The user undertakes to:
- Use the power bank prudently, properly, and in a manner consistent with its normal purpose.
- Not open, disassemble, modify, repair, puncture, wet, expose to excessive heat, or technically tamper with the power bank.
- Not use the power bank with incompatible, damaged, excessively powerful devices, or in conditions that may cause fire, electric shock, overheating, short circuit, or damage.
- Not sell, assign, lend, sublease, pledge, abandon, or transfer the power bank to third parties.
- Keep the power bank in a safe place during the rental period.
- Return the power bank in good condition, within the applicable time and place.
- Immediately report malfunctions, loss, theft, damage, difficulty returning it, incorrect charges, or any relevant incident.
- Provide true, complete, and up-to-date information whenever such information is necessary to use the service.
- Do not engage in acts that disrupt the operation of the website, the stations, the payment system, or any infrastructure associated with VoltGo.
9.Loss, damage, theft, robbery, or non-return
During the rental period, the user is responsible for the safekeeping and diligent use of the power bank. In the event of loss, damage, theft, robbery, misuse, or non-return, VoltGo may charge the applicable amounts in accordance with the price list and conditions communicated to the user before contracting.
The power bank remains equipment of VoltGo or a third party authorized by it and is not transferred to the user. Charging a replacement value for non-return, loss, or damage does not, by itself, constitute a sale of the equipment, unless expressly stated otherwise and communicated by VoltGo and accepted by the user under the applicable legal terms. The applicable replacement value is shown to the user before contracting.
If the power bank has a fault or damage that was not caused by the user, the user must report the situation as soon as possible and before any attempt to continue using it. VoltGo will assess the situation based on technical records, received communications, and other available evidence.
Reporting theft or robbery to the competent authorities may be requested when necessary to assess liability or resolve the incident.
10.Malfunctions, unavailability, and support
VoltGo will seek to keep the service available and functional, but does not guarantee permanent availability, complete absence of technical failures, coverage in all locations, or the continuous presence of power banks at each station.
Unavailability may occur due to maintenance, power failures, network failures, station malfunctions, payment issues, acts of third parties, force majeure, or other situations beyond VoltGo's reasonable control.
Whenever there is a service failure attributable to the service that prevents normal use of the power bank or the proper completion of the rental, the user must contact customer support for review of the case. Where justified, a billing correction, full or partial refund, credit, or another proportionate solution may be provided, without prejudice to the rights legally recognized to consumers.
11.Safe use of the power bank
The user must observe basic safety rules when using electrical equipment and portable batteries. The power bank must not be used if it shows signs of damage, deformation, overheating, unusual odor, liquid leakage, damaged cables, or irregular behavior.
The power bank must not be used to power medical equipment, life-support devices, critical equipment, industrial equipment, or any device for which it is not technically suitable.
VoltGo is not responsible for damages resulting from misuse, incompatibility of the user's device, defective cables, handling of the equipment, failure to follow instructions, or use under dangerous conditions.
12.Right of free termination
In contracts concluded at a distance with consumers, there may be a right of withdrawal under the applicable law. However, when the user requests the immediate start of service before the end of the legal withdrawal period, they acknowledge that they may have to pay the proportionate amount for the service actually provided until the moment they notify withdrawal.
When the service is fully performed during the withdrawal period, with the consumer's prior and express consent and acknowledgment that they lose the right of withdrawal after full performance of the contract, the right of withdrawal may no longer apply to the rental in question, as legally provided.
This clause does not affect the consumer's rights in the event of non-conformity, improper charging, breach of contract, or other rights provided by law.
13.Refunds and billing corrections
Requests for refunds or billing corrections must be submitted through VoltGo's official contacts, accompanied, whenever possible, by the rental identification, date, station, charged amount, proof of payment, and description of what happened.
VoltGo will review requests based on the available records, the information provided by the user, the payment provider's data, and the specific situation. When an improper charge or an error attributable to the service is confirmed, the appropriate correction will be made.
Refunds may be issued through the same payment method used in the initial transaction or through another agreed method, within a reasonable period and without prejudice to banking or technical delays from third parties.
14.Promotions, codes, and campaigns
VoltGo may offer promotional campaigns, discount codes, free periods, credits, partnerships, or special conditions. These campaigns may be subject to their own rules, such as time limits, user limits, participating locations, available stock, non-combinability, or eligibility requirements.
VoltGo may refuse, suspend, or cancel promotional benefits in the event of fraud, abuse, technical manipulation, creation of multiple accounts, or failure to comply with the campaign rules.
15.Intellectual property
The VoltGo brand, the website, texts, images, graphic elements, software, databases, interfaces, design, distinctive signs, and other content associated with the service belong to Paladares Musicais, Unipessoal Lda or to third-party licensors, unless otherwise stated.
The user may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, commercially exploit, decompile, or use such content without prior written authorization, except where permitted by law.
16.Personal data protection
The processing of personal data within the scope of the website and the VoltGo service is governed by Privacy Policy published at voltgo.pt. Use of the service implies that the user is aware of how their data is processed for rental provision, payments, invoicing, support, security, and compliance with legal obligations.
17.Liability and limitation
VoltGo is liable to the user under the terms legally applicable. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits mandatory consumer rights or excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Without prejudice to the law, VoltGo shall not be liable for damages resulting from improper use of the power bank, failure to follow usage instructions, failure of the user's device, technical incompatibility, failures attributable to external providers, network outages, acts of third parties, force majeure, or incorrect information provided by the user.
VoltGo does not guarantee that the power bank will charge all devices, reach a certain battery percentage, replace original chargers, or ensure continuous operation of devices whose condition, battery, cable, charging port, or software are not under VoltGo's control.
18.Suspension or termination of the service
VoltGo may suspend, change, or terminate the service, in whole or in part, including stations, geographic areas, payment methods, digital features, or campaigns, for technical, commercial, legal, security, maintenance, or operational reorganization reasons.
Suspension or termination of the service does not affect obligations already due or consumer rights regarding completed rentals, payments made, pending complaints, or legally protected situations.
19.Complaints, Complaints Book, and alternative dispute resolution
The user may submit complaints through VoltGo's official contacts and, where applicable, through the Electronic Complaints Book available at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may обратиться to TRIAVE - Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Ave, Tâmega e Sousa, located at Rua Capitão Alfredo Guimarães, n.º 1, 4800-019 Guimarães, phone 253 422 410, email geral@triave.pt and website www.triave.pt, without prejudice to consulting the official list of ADR entities available on the Consumer Portal.
More information about consumer alternative dispute resolution entities can be found on the Consumer Portal. This information is provided in compliance with the applicable legal framework for consumer alternative dispute resolution.
20.Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, and without prejudice to the mandatory rules applicable to consumers, the competent courts shall be the legally competent Portuguese courts.
21.Changes to the Terms and Conditions
VoltGo may amend these Terms and Conditions to reflect legal, technical, commercial, or operational changes. The current version will be published on voltgo.pt, with the date of the last update indicated.
The changes will apply to future uses and rentals, unless the law requires a different solution or the change is necessary to comply with an immediate legal obligation.
